Science Tuition

Online science tuition for Combined and Triple Science

Biology, Chemistry and Physics taught one-to-one by specialists — from GCSE Combined and Separate Sciences through to A-Level, across every major UK exam board.

Combined or Triple

Two routes through GCSE science, both fully supported

Schools choose different pathways, and the difference matters for revision. Here is how the two compare — and how lessons adapt to each.

Combined Science

Worth two GCSEs and taken by most students. It covers all three sciences in less depth, with content drawn from each and examined across six papers. Lessons focus on breadth, secure recall and confident calculation.

Triple Science

Also called Separate Sciences — three GCSEs, one in each subject. There is additional content in every science and greater depth throughout, which is why students often need targeted support in one subject rather than all three.

Three sciences

Specialist support in Biology, Chemistry and Physics

Tutors are matched by subject, not by label — a chemistry problem is taught by a chemist.

Biology

Cells, organisation, infection and response, bioenergetics, homeostasis, inheritance and ecology — taught with the precise terminology examiners expect.

Chemistry

Atomic structure, bonding, quantitative chemistry, rates, organic chemistry and analysis, with the calculation practice most students need more of.

Physics

Forces, energy, waves, electricity, magnetism, particle model and space — with a firm grip on equations, units and rearrangement.

  • Organic mechanisms
  • Thermodynamics
  • Genetics
  • Mechanics
  • Fields & particles

Practical understanding

Required practicals, properly understood

Practical questions are among the most predictable marks on a science paper, and among the most commonly dropped. Students often remember doing the experiment but not why each step was taken.

Tutors work through the method, the control variables, the likely errors and the data analysis, so your child can answer confidently even on a practical they barely recall from Year 10.

  • Method, variables and error analysis
  • Graph drawing and data interpretation
  • Evaluation and improvement questions

Exam preparation

From revision notes to exam-ready answers

Science papers reward precision. A near-right definition scores nothing, and a six-mark answer without structure rarely earns full credit. We drill both.

In the months before exams, tutors work through past papers by board, unpick command words and build a realistic revision schedule your child can actually keep to.

  • Command words and mark scheme language
  • Equation recall and calculation practice
  • Timed past papers with detailed feedback

Our approach

How a science programme takes shape

  1. 01

    Diagnose by subject

Most students are not weak at 'science' — they are weak at chemistry calculations or physics equations. We identify which.

  2. 02

    Rebuild the core

Key definitions, equations and processes are secured first, because everything else in the paper depends on them.

  3. 03

    Apply to unfamiliar contexts

Exam questions dress content in new scenarios. We practise transferring knowledge rather than recognising questions.

  4. 04

    Practical and paper practice

Required practicals, data questions and extended responses are rehearsed until the format is second nature.
