The tutor experience

Why tutor with Bianca Tutoring Services?

Tutoring with us means teaching students you have been carefully matched with, supported by clear processes and a personal point of contact.

Personally matched students

Students are matched according to subject expertise, level and overall suitability rather than being randomly allocated.

Consistent tuition

We focus on regular one-to-one tuition and meaningful, long-term tutor–student relationships rather than one-off lessons.

Flexible online tutoring

All tuition takes place online and can fit around university and other commitments, subject to the consistent weekly arrangements agreed for individual students.

Parent onboarding handled

Bianca Tutoring Services manages the initial parent enquiry, consultation and tutor-matching process before introducing the selected tutor.

Clear processes

Tutors receive clear expectations and processes around parent contact, scheduling and ongoing tuition.

Ongoing support

Tutors have a clear point of contact if they need support with a student, parent or tutoring arrangement.

Our standards

Who we're looking for

Tutors are selected carefully, and academic achievement alone is not enough. Excellent grades do not automatically make somebody a strong tutor — we look just as closely at how you explain ideas, how you build a student's confidence and how dependable you are week to week.

We primarily work with high-achieving university students and graduates.

  • Strong academic results, including grade 8 standard in relevant GCSE subjects
  • An A-grade standard in relevant A-Level subjects where applicable
  • Excellent subject knowledge at the levels you wish to teach
  • Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring or relevant experience supporting students
  • Clear and confident communication
  • Professionalism and reliability
  • The ability to engage and encourage students
  • Confidence delivering tuition online
  • The ability to commit consistently to the students you support
  • Genuine enthusiasm for helping students improve academically and build confidence

Safeguarding

Safeguarding comes first

All tutors are DBS-checked before teaching with us. Successful applicants must complete the required checks, documentation and onboarding before they begin teaching students through Bianca Tutoring Services.

You do not need a completed DBS check in place to apply. Please do not send identification or other sensitive documents through this page — we will guide you through the checks securely at the onboarding stage.

Checks and onboarding

We'll guide successful applicants through the required checks and documentation securely once the recruitment stage is complete. Nothing sensitive is ever collected through this page.

Tutors work with Bianca Tutoring Services on a self-employed basis. Joining the tutor team does not guarantee tutoring opportunities or a particular number of hours — student opportunities depend on current demand and suitability.
